In his two seasons with Buffalo Bills, veteran kicker Stephen Hauschka showed that he can successfully deal with harsh climate on New Era Field and remain consistent with his kicks. That is why the Bills didn’t want to risk losing him anytime soon and have signed the 34-year-old to a two-year extension on Tuesday.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Hauschka’s extension is worth a total of $8 million. This new deal will now keep him with the Bills organization through 2022.

“I’m super excited,” – said Hauschka after inking the new deal. “We’ve come to love this place. It’s such a great place to work and raise a family. The culture and environment we get to work and play in every single day is amazing. We’re going to turn this thing around and win a bunch of games here, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Stephen Hauschka showcased an impressive long-range during the last two years with Buffalo as he converted 11 field goals from 50 or more yards in 16 attempts. In total, he made 51 out of 61 attempted field goals while missing only one extra point attempt since joining the Bills.

Hauschka started his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens in 2008 and has also played with Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. He left the biggest mark in Seattle, where he spent five years and helped the team to win the Super Bowl XLVIII.
