It appears that Pro Bowl cornerback Tre’Davious White is still processing the four-year, $70 million extension he signed with Buffalo Bills last week.

During a recent appearance on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, White discussed becoming the highest-paid player corner in the league at one point and admitted that this fact remains shocking to him.

“I’m still in shock,” said White. “It’s just something that I really couldn’t put into words.”

White still has two years left on his rookie deal, but Bills didn’t want to stall with the negotiations. As soon as the 25-year-old player became eligible for an extension, the organization started talks with his representatives and will now have him under contract through 2025.

“There are a lot of guys who work hard, but there is something, some roadblocks along the way that stop them getting to that position,” he added. “But I’m extremely blessed. I’m extremely thankful. It’s something that I’m still in shock, like I said.”

Tre’Davious White deserved every bit of his massive extension, considering he has been a consistent performer for the Bills since entering the league as the first-round pick in 2017. In the past three years, White managed to rack up 181 tackles, 43 pass deflections, and 12 interceptions while playing the all-but-one game.

White was particularly impressive in 2019, finishing the year with 58 tackles, 1.0 sacks, 17 pass deflections, and career-high six interceptions. His standout play was rewarded with first Pro Bowl nod and First-Team All-Pro selection.
