With the arrival of the start of 2020, soccer clubs all around the world are reconsolidating forces and planning their moves for this year. The German club Borussia Dortmund managed to sign a new player reinforcing the team with some young and perspective blood. The Bundesliga club announced that they have finally signed the young Erling Braut Haaland from the Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg.

The 19-year-old Norwegian player put ink to paper on a four-year contract that will keep him in the Dortmund jersey until 2024. Reportedly high-ranking Premier League and Serie A-League clubs have been interested in signing the young rising star, but obviously Dortmund beat them to it.

To achieve this signing, the Bundesliga club agreed to pay the buyout clause which was set at about $22.4 million and the future will show if this youngster was worth such a price. So far he has had a starry career – the young striker played in 3 clubs and has scored 49 goals during a total of 93 appearances.

Haaland said that he wanted to play football in the incredible Dortmund atmosphere in front of more than 80,000 spectators and that he was already burning for it.
