Boston Celtics are keeping “Tacko Mania” alive. The team announced on Sunday that they have signed 7-foot-7 rookie center Tacko Fall to a two-way contract.

The two-way contract means that Fall will spend the majority of his rookie season in G League with the Maine Red Claws but is eligible to also be on Celtics’ NBA roster for a total of 45 days.

Celtics announced the move via their social media.

Fall, who was undrafted in 2019 NBA Draft, spent the Summer League with Celtics and managed to produce respectable numbers by averaging 7.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in five games. The 23-year-old also played in two preseason games, managing to total five points, five rebounds, and two blocks.

Despite spending limited time on Boston Celtics, Tacko Fall has managed to become a fan favorite. Every time he checks into the game, he gets big cheers and fans already started making signs and posters with his name on it. Some even dressed up for the occasion.

Fall played college basketball at the University of Central Florida. During the four years he spent of UCF, he played 115 games and averaged 10.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks.
