Brazil has announced its final 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup scheduled to begin on November 20.

Among manager Tite’s team is 39-year-old left-back Dani Alves, who is the most decorated player in the current national squad with five Champions League titles. In what is expected to be Alves’ final World Cup appearance, the former Barcelona star will provide the big game experience that the team needs in order to pursue its first World Cup victory since 2002.

Joining Dani Alves in defense are fellow veterans Thiago Silva and Marquinhos, while Eder Militao, Alex Telles, Danilo, Alex Sandro, and Bremer make up the rest of the backline.

Selected to lead Brazil’s attacking lineup is PSG’s Neymar, with Real Madrid’s Champions League winners Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo playing on the wings. New Manchester United signing Antony has been selected as part of the team as well, along with Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus and Martinelli and Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison.

Five-time Champions League winner Casemiro remains a part of the Brazilian midfield, while Liverpool’s Alisson and Manchester City’s Ederson are both goalkeeping options.

Brazil will kick off their World Cup on November 24 against Serbia before facing fellow Group G opponents Switzerland and Cameroon.
