Five-time World Cup Champion Brazil booked its place in the last-16 of the tournament in Russia as they secured a 2-0 win over Serbia.

The win meant that Tite’s side have won Group E and they are now set to play against Mexico during the last-16.

Though Brazil did not display the strength that is within their team, they did show flashes of brilliance which is the reason why they are one of the favorites to win the tournament in Russia.

Paulinho put the Brazilians in the lead during the first-half as he took advantage of a deft pass from team-mate Philippe Coutinho.

Aleksandar Mitrovic should have equalized for Serbia during the second half but he instead had his effort saved by Brazil goalkeeper Alisson.

Thiago Silva went on to score Brazil’s second during the 68th minute as he was unmarked during a corner kick. After this, Brazil controlled the game and had come close to scoring third numerous times.
