Denver Broncos’ defense will be a lot scarier in 2020, as the team is expecting to have outside linebacker Bradley Chubb ready for Week 1. Chubb was limited to just four games last season due to an ACL tear, but has now recovered and is “good in all areas” according to the team’s defensive coordinator Ed Donatell.

Chubb spent the majority of the offseason at the Broncos’ facilities rehabbing, and it looks like he has put in the work to get himself back on track. Speaking with reporters on a conference call, Donatell said that he saw the video from the 23-year-old’s workout and is encouraged with his progress.

“He’s just good in all areas,” said Donatell. “He’s such a solid, consistent person in all areas of his life. He’s just got a lot of skill and ability. But this is a [player] that’s going to be a great Bronco for a long time; we just didn’t get to see enough of it last year, because of the injury.”

“We’ve seen him running on tape, and he’s full speed and ready to go. You’ll see a really good year from him,” he added.

Bradley Chubb, who was Broncos’ fifth overall pick in 2018, had an encouraging rookie season, contributing with 60 tackles, 12.0 sacks, and 21 QB hits. In his sophomore year, he got to 21 tackle and 1.0 sack before going down with the injury.
