The Denver Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett claimed that his team was unprepared going into their humiliating 51-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in SoFi Stadium on Sunday. This is the Broncos’ 10th loss in the last 12 games.

Aside from the defeat which technically brings an end to the Broncos’ season, the game is also remembered for outside linebacker Randy Gregory’s punch following the conclusion of the game.

“I think they’re upset for all the losing, we all are,” Hackett stated following the postgame incident. “Every one of us, that’s unacceptable, that’s not what we’re about, that’s not what we want to do. We went in with a mindset we were going to win this game, but in the end we weren’t ready. … It wasn’t good, it’s all of us.”

While last week’s victory against the Arizona Cardinals appeared to be a turning point in the Broncos’ season, Sunday’s defeat to the Rams all but solidifies Denver’s position at the foot of the AFC West.

Tempers also flew during the third quarter when backup quarterback Brett Rypien and guard Dalton Risner engaged in an exchange of words, however, the two later hugged in a moment of reconciliation, with Risner claiming that the incident occurred in the “heat of the moment.”
