Denver Broncos General Manager George Paton confirmed on Thursday that he is determined to fend off any incoming offers for wide receiver Jerry Jeudy this trade window, keeping the 24-year-old player with the Broncos for another season. Paton did not mention whether the team would pick-up Jeudy’s fifth-year option.
“I spoke at the owner’s meetings. We’re high, really high on Jerry,” Paton confirmed during a news conference. “We don’t anticipate doing anything with Jerry. Jerry finished strong — the last five games, over 500 yards. He was one of the top receivers in the league. We like Jerry. He’s going to be here.”
Jeudy has proven to be a major asset for the Broncos as of late, making 33 catches for 458 yards and three touchdowns during his last five games for the team.
The Broncos have until May 2 to activate the fifth-year option on Jeudy’s rookie contract, roughly to the value of $13 million fully guaranteed in 2024.
