England international winger Callum Hudson-Odoi might leave Chelsea this summer despite signing a new deal with Premier League side less than a year ago.

According to English media outlet Sky Sports, Hudson-Odoi is unhappy with the lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge and is reportedly looking to make a move this summer. Since the Premier League restart, the 19-year-old player has just 48 minutes of competitive soccer and hasn’t started a single game since February.

Despite being unhappy about his status in the club, the reports say that Hudson-Odoi won’t be forcing a move away from Chelsea. He will consider his option in the following months, and in case he doesn’t find an attractive option, he will stay put and try to fight for the starting spot.

Hudson-Odoi made 34 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and adding seven assists.

Callum Hudson-Odoi came through Chelsea’s youth academy and is considered one of the team’s brightest talents. After an impressive season in 2018/19, Hudson-Odoi attracted interest from several big clubs and was reportedly close to joining Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

In order to avoid losing a potential star player, Chelsea handed a new five-year deal to Hudson-Odoi in September that saw him earn a $140K weekly salary.
