The Arizona Cardinals remain undefeated in the 2021 NFL season. The high-flying Cardinals got the better of the favored Los Angeles Rams and claimed a 37-20 road win at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.

The Rams had a better opening and finished the first quarter with a 10-7 lead despite Matthew Stafford’s interception in the red zone. But things started going downhill for the Los Angeles team from that point onward while the Cardinals found their rhythm and started exploiting their opponent’s weaknesses.

Arizona owned the second quarter, scoring two touchdowns, courtesy of Maxx Williams and James Conner while adding one field goal. The Rams, on the other hand, only had Matt Gay’s 22-yarder to add before the end of the first half.

The third period saw the Cardinals’ defense shutting down the Rams while continuing to add to their lead with Conner’s second rushing TD of the game.

The Rams managed to cut into Arizona’s lead late in the fourth quarter, but it was already too late to avoid their first defeat of the season.

The Cardinals were led by quarterback Kyler Murray, who finished the game with 268 passing yards and two passing TDs while adding 39 yards rushing. Chase Edmonds also had a big night, running for 120 yards in 12 attempts.

On the other side, Stafford threw for 280 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Darrell Henderson Jr. had 89 yards on the ground while Van Jefferson emerged as the most reliable in the passing game, making six catches for 90 yards and a score.

The win saw the Cardinals sit at the top of the NFC West with a perfect 4-0 record while the Rams are second with 3-1.
