Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has reiterated his loyalty to the club, shutting down the prospect of accepting the job of Brazil’s new head coach. Brazil’s head coaching role has been vacant since Tite left the position following the nation’s 2022 World Cup exit at the hands of Croatia in the quarterfinals.

“The reality is that the Brazilian national team wants me; I love that, it’s exciting,” Ancelotti revealed in a press conference ahead of Madrid’s La Liga game against Real Valladolid. “From there, you have to respect the contract you have, which is a contract that I want to fulfill.”

Ancelotti, who is on a contract with Real Madrid until 2024, explained that it is his desire to remain with the team as long as the club allows. He went on to praise club president Florentino Perez, the players, and the fans, all of whom contribute to the club’s atmosphere.

Still, Ancelotti did admit that the prospect of speaking with Ednaldo Rodrigues, the president of the Brazilian Football Federation, would “delight” him.
