Carlos Tevez might not end his career with Boca Juniors after all. The Argentinian striker recently told Radio La Red that he is open to returning to Premier League side West Ham if he can’t agree to a new deal with Boca.

Tevez’s contract with Boca is up next week, and the two sides still haven’t managed to get to terms on an extension. The club offered the 36-year-old a new one-year deal this week, but the player reportedly isn’t happy with it. This made him think about alternatives.

“If I had to go back to Europe, I would go to West Ham for six months to be applauded,” said Tevez when asked about his plans if he doesn’t re-sign with Boca.

West Ham United was Tevez’s first club in Europe, and he is fondly remembered there despite playing just one season with the Hammers.

Return to Brazil also appears to be one of the options for Tevez.

“Or spend six months at Corinthians. I won’t rule anything out because I don’t want to be a slave to my words,” he added.

Carlos Tevez is considered Boca legend, playing more than 200 with the club on three separate stints. Tevez led Boca to 10 trophies in the past, including five national titles and one Copa Libertadores trophy.

In Europe, Tevez played with West Ham, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Juventus.
