CFR Cluj Beats Celtic in Exciting Match Resulting in a 3-4 Victory

This summer saw important transfers and structural changes in European soccer clubs that promised a really interesting and unpredictable season. Celtic and CFR Cluj provided soccer fansĀ fromĀ all over the world with one of the most interesting Champion League matches so far this week. The Romanians managed to defeat Celtic in a fierce match which ended with a final score of 3-4.Ā Ā 

The first halftime of the match saw only one goal which was scored in the 27thĀ minute by CiprianĀ Deac. Celtic started the second halftime with more aggressive playingĀ and James Forrest managed to equalize the score in the 51stĀ minute.Ā This was followed by a second goal in the 61stĀ minute scored byĀ OdsonneĀ Edouard,Ā giving Celtic the lead.

But the match was far from overĀ andĀ BillelĀ OmraniĀ managed to equalize the score again with his penalty score in the 74thĀ minute,Ā which was followed by another equalization by Celticā€™s Ryan Christie in the 76th minute.

Then,Ā OmraniĀ gave the match a twist scoring a second goal in the 80thĀ minute. This lead to a nerve wrenching continuation of the struggle which was finally over when GeorgeĀ TucudeanĀ scored the fourth goal for Cluj and threw Celtic out of the race for the Champions League Title.Ā
