Chelsea Football Club has compiled a list of between five and seven managers who could replace Graham Potter, who was sacked from the head coaching role on Sunday following a disappointing 2-0 loss at home to Aston Villa.

Potter’s dismissal came after the former Brighton boss spent just seven months in charge. During Potter’s reign, Chelsea slipped to 11th position in the Premier League and was eliminated early on in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup. The Blues are still in the Champions League, however, and are set to face Real Madrid in the quarterfinals.

Among the managers being considered for the role is Julian Nagelsmann, who was recently dismissed from his role at Bayern Munich. Other considerations include former Barcelona and Spain manager Luis Enrique and former Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino. Not all individuals included on the list have yet been approached by the club, however.

Despite being linked by numerous media outlets to the role, current Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi is not being considered for the role.

Under the leadership of interim manager Bruno Saltor, Chelsea is set to face Liverpool in the Premier League on Tuesday night in a game that they hope will be the turning point in their season.
