Chelsea manager Graham Potter expressed his concern over the club’s injury situation after Christian Pulisic and Raheem Sterling both limped off the field during the Blues’ 1-0 loss at home to Manchester City.

While Sterling had to depart the game after five minutes, Pulisic was substituted after 17 minutes of play with what appeared to be a knee problem.

The pair are the latest casualties in what has been a long list of injury setbacks for the Blues, with midfielder Mason Mount being ruled out of the Man City clash after he picked up a knock in training.

In addition, the club is still awaiting the recoveries of defenders Reece James, Wesley Fofana, and Ben Chilwell as well as midfielder N’Golo Kante and forward Armando Broja, all of whom are battling injuries.

Speaking of the difficulty facing the club due to its mounting list of injuries, Potter explained, “The expectation is where it is so you want to be here and have all your players available and have a fully fit squad and be able to compete. You know the demands of our supporters, who I thought were fantastic today, really supportive and got behind the team in a great way but it is frustrating for everyone at the moment.”
