With the summer progressing the transfer season in Europe continues to bring new changes to present squads. Chelsea is planning to land another team member since they will be signing of the young midfielder from Real Madrid, Mateo Kovacic, bypassing the two-window transfer ban.

The 25-year-old has already spent one season in Chelsea on a loan and the British club has him registered, so if they seal the deal before the 30th of June when the loan expires, they won’t have to register him again. It is reported that the Blues will be signing him from Real Madrid for a fee of around $57 million including add-ons.

The Croat had 32 appearances for the British club in the Premier League but didn’t manage to score a goal. He started his career in Croatia playing for Dinamo Zagreb. From the Croatian team, he relocated to Inter Milan where he played for two seasons, having 80 appearances and scoring 5 goals before being bought by Real Madrid in 2015. He was loaned from the La Liga club in 2018 and has been in Chelsea ever since.
