Kansas City Chiefs are determined to keep their Super Bowl-winning team together for years to come. After extending some of their key players, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes and defensive tackle Chris Jones, earlier this summer, the Chiefs now moved to front office and coaching.

According to NFL Network, the Chiefs agreed to new six-year deals with head coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach. The agreement is set to keep both Reid and Veach with the organization through 2025.

Kansas City Chiefs hired Andy Reid as their head coach in 2013, and they immediately saw a change of fortune. During his time at Arrowhead, Reid compiled a 77-35 record while making the playoffs six out of seven years. This included a Super Bowl win last season, which was first in the franchise’s history. He is yet to have a losing season with the organization.

Brett Veach also joined the Chiefs in 2013, but initially worked as a scout. Hes credited for discovering Mahomes and convincing the team to draft him in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Veach took over the general manager position in the same year, replacing John Dorsey.

Chiefs’ chairman Clark Hunt hinted that the team is working on extensions for the duo earlier this year.

“We’re very lucky to have Brett as part of our organization,” said Hunt at the time. “He’s done an outstanding job. He works extremely well with Coach Reid, he also has a great rapport with our players, so he’s somebody that we want here for the long term.”
