Many believed that the Kansas City Chiefs would have a hard time stacking touchdowns at their usual pace in 2022 after their star wideout Tyreek Hill bolted for Miami. However, it appears that as long as tight end Travis Kelce is on the field, the Chiefs have nothing to worry about.

In a closely contested game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football, Kelce helped the Chiefs erase a 17-point deficit and end on the winning side of a 30-29 result. The veteran Pro Bowler caught all four touchdowns that Kansas City scored in the game, which marked his personal best.

Kelce set the record for most TD receptions by Chiefs’ tight end in a single game and did it while only having 25 yards receiving. This made him the only player in NFL history to score four TDs, with neither being for more than 10 yards.

Three of Kelce’s four TD catches came in the second half. According to the 33-year-old player, that is a result of finding comfort in the game.

“Over the course of a game, you start to get comfortable against the guys you’re playing,” Kelce explained. “I love it. Bring it, man. I’m going to make it, so you’ve got to bring a triple-team. That’s my mentality.”

Travis Kelce is currently leading the Chiefs’ pass-catchers in all categories with 33 receptions for 347 yards and seven touchdowns.
