Colts Bring in Veteran Receiver Brandon Marshall for a Workout

It seems like Brandon Marshall isn’t considering retirement just yet. According to ESPN, Marshall is currently working out with Indianapolis Colts and will try to convince the organization to give him a contract.

Marshall is motivated to continue his NFL career even at the age of 35, but many doubt his ability to compete on the highest level anymore. The six-time Pro Bowler played only 11 games in the last two seasons and has only 29 catches to show for during that time.

It remains unclear whether Colts are interested in adding Brandon Marshall right away, or are just doing their due diligence in case of an injury. Indy already has a fairly loaded receivers core as they added Devin Funchess in free agency and spent a second round pick on Parris Campbell this year. The duo joined T.Y. Hilton and Chester Rogers alongside several young WRs that are also looking for their place on the roster.

Marshall’s last team was New Orleans Saints, with whom he signed in November 2018. Saints, however, decided to release him just a month later and he left the organization without appearing in a single game.
