The New York Giants lost their seventh game of the season on Monday night to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25-23, a game they could have won if they got better quarterback play from their second-year starter Daniel Jones.

Despite flashing bright spots every game, Jones continues to be a turnover machine. He threw two costly interceptions against the Bucs. He now has a staggering 35 turnovers in his first 20 games.

The Giants defense was able to keep the explosive Tampa Bay offense, led by future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady, in check for most of the game, forcing them to kick four field goals.

But the difference was in the quarterback play. Brady did what he has been doing his entire career, leading the offense with calculated and smart play. Jones continued to make the same mistakes he has been making for the majority of his short career, forcing bad throws and throwing interceptions instead of getting rid of the ball or tacking a sack when under duress.

Despite the two interceptions, the Giants were either winning or very much in the game all night. Jones even led the team on a fourth-quarter drive that ended in a touchdown to get the Giants within two points.

However, he was late throwing to running back Dion Lewis on their two-point conversion attempt, causing the team to fall short again and lose yet another close game to fall to 1-7 on the season.
