On Tuesday Dallas Cowboys saw another one of their players go down during practice. Defensive end Robert Quinn reportedly suffered a hand fracture and will join linebacker Sean Lee and guard Zack Martin on the injured list.

NFL Network’s Jane Slater reports that Quinn is scheduled to undergo a surgery in coming days to repair the damage in his hand. Despite this, the 29-year-old is expected to make full recovery in time for Dallas’ 2019 NFL season opener against New York Giants on September 8th.

Robert Quinn spent the 2018 season with the Miami Dolphins, starting all 16 games with the team. He delivered a productive season in which he led the team with 6.5 sacks while adding 38 tackles and two forced fumbles.

Given the fact that Dolphins are rebuilding at the moment, Quinn’s salary of $11.8 million in 2019 was too pricey for the organization and they decided him in the offseason. After much speculation, Miami ended up making a deal with Cowboys and received a sixth-round conditional pick in return for the player.

Quinn, who was 14th overall pick in 2011, spent the majority of his career with Los Angeles Rams. During his nine years in NFL, he had two Pro Bowl appearances and one First-Team All-Pro selection while winning PFWA NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2013.
