After leaving Real Madrid for Juventus in 2018, it appeared that Cristiano Ronaldo’s time in Spain is over. But Jose Fonte, who is Ronaldo’s teammate from Portugal’s national team, doesn’t think so.

Fonte recently had a chat with talkSPORT and told the media outlet that he thinks Ronaldo could eventually return to Real.

“I know he loves Madrid, that’s for sure,” said Fonte.”It’s clear that he loves the club itself, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world, if not the biggest.”

“He’s left many, many friends there and he’s always left the door open,” he added. “So I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes back to Real Madrid.”

Recently, rumors appeared that Cristiano Ronaldo is unhappy in Turin, and that he would consider leaving Juventus after this season. And considering that Real Madrid struggled since letting him go, Ronaldo would probably be welcomed to return to Spain.

Ronaldo played in Madrid between 2009 and 2018, during which time he won every trophy imaginable with the club including two La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies. He made a total of 438 appearances with the club in all competitions, scoring an astonishing number of 450 goals.
