According to NFL sources, some of the players in the Dallas Cowboys locker room had some very negative things to say about the team’s coaching staff after their 38-10 Monday night loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

One Dallas player was quoted as saying that the coaching staff “aren’t good at their jobs,” while another player said that the Cowboys’ coaches are “totally unprepared” and that “they don’t teach.”

The Cowboys were supposed to be Super Bowl contenders this year with a roster full of top-tier talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Under their first-year offensive coordinator Kellen Moore last season, the Cowboys finished first in the league in total yards per game and sixth in points scored.

However, the Cowboys lost their starting quarterback Dak Prescott to a season-ending ankle injury in their Week 5 win against the New York Giants. Prescott was putting up career numbers, and despite not playing this week, he still leads the league in passing yards.

The offense must now rely on veteran quarterback Andy Dalton, who was released by the Cincinnati Bengals after nine years without a single playoff victory.

Dalton didn’t look very good against the Cardinals, completing on 34 of his 54 pass attempts, throwing one touchdown and two interceptions.

Dallas hired former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy in the offseason after firing coach Jason Garrett after six and a half years. They then signed Mike Nolan as defensive coordinator, who hasn’t coached in the NFL since 2014.
