After impressing on loan in North London during the 2019-20 season, sources are now reporting that Real Madrid midfielder will rejoin Arsenal on loan in the upcoming season.

Ceballos is reportedly set to join Arsenal for another season after receiving word from Real Madrid that they were not planning on having him as a key squad member this upcoming season. A move to Arsenal, where he integrated well and became an important part of Mikel Arteta’s FA Cup and FA Community Shield winning side, will give Ceballos the possibility to play more and continue his development.

Primarily working in a central midfield role last season with the Gunners, Ceballos played in 24 Premier League matches and recorded two assists. Perhaps the Spanish international’s most memorable moment with Arsenal was his match-winning stoppage time goal against Sheffield United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Ceballos is once again expected to be a regular starter and a key member of Arsenal’s squad this season, which will participate in the UEFA Europa League and have Champions League qualification dreams. At only 24-years-old, Ceballos could use another season at Arsenal before making a push to become a key member of Madrid’s squad.

Expect an official announcement of the deal at some point this week.
