The Las Vegas Raiders’ star Davante Adams decided to set the record straight about rumors that he is not happy with the Raiders.
“The facts are the facts, and that is not a fact,” Adams said on Wednesday while speaking with reporters.
The rumor started when former NFL wide receiver DeSean Jackson made an appearance at Fox Sports’ The Heard and claimed that he talked with Adams about how he is not happy in Las Vegas.
Adams, on the other hand, denies ever talking with Jackson about this topic.
“I’ve probably spoken to DeSean Jackson maybe three or four times in my life, and I never had a conversation with him ever [about being unhappy with the Raiders]. . . . I’ve never spoken to him about anything,” he added.
This isn’t the first time that Davante Adams has had to squash rumors questioning his happiness with the Raiders organization. Several reports surfaced last season claiming that Adams wants to leave the struggling franchise, and the similar chatter spilled over to the offseason. But so far, Adams has insisted that he sees his future in Las Vegas.
Adams finished the 2023 campaign with 103 catches for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns. However, this wasn’t enough to push the Raiders toward playoff contention, as they finished the season with an 8-9 record.
