The Los Angeles Lakers will soon have all their players in training camp. Veteran guard Dennis Schroder, who signed a one-year deal to rejoin the Lakers back in September, is reportedly expected to join the rest of the team by the end of the week.

Schroder missed almost two weeks of the Lakers’ training camp due to a visa issue. However, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin now reports that the issue has been resolved and that the 29-year-old can come to the United States.

If the Lakers’ preseason is any indication, the team could very much use Schroder in their lineup. The LA team lost all three of their preseason games despite giving their star players a healthy portion of minutes on the court.

Dennis Schroder split 2021-22 between the Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets. He averaged a combined 13.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game. Schroder will return to NBA after an impressive performance at the 2022 EuroBasket, where he averaged 22.1 points and 7.1 assists per game and led Germany to a bronze medal.

This season is set to mark Schroder’s second stint as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. He started 61 games for the Lakers in 2020-21, averaging 15.4 points and 5.8 assists per game.
