This weekend the famous San Siro stadium hosted one of the greatest football derbies in the world. AC Milan faced their city rivals Inter Milan in the stunning derby that is known as the ‘derby della Madonnina’ in Italy. The Red and Blacks suffered a humiliating defeat in a nerve-wrenching match that finished with a final result of 0-2, sending them down to 9th place on the Serie A table.
The match had a pretty rough start with a few fouls in the first 10 minutes of the game. The first half ended with no goals scored after a few unsuccessful attempts on AC Milan’s goal. The second half started with an even more aggressive play and the 26-year-old Croat Marcelo Brozovic managed to score the first goal of the match in the 49th minute. Inter’s victory was finalized with the second goal that was scored by Romelu Lukaku in the 78th. This was followed by a few more unsuccessful attempts by AC Milan’s team to score a goal and the match ended with a final score of 0-2.
This was the fourth victory for Inter and it put the club at the first place on the Serie A table.
