The New York Jets running back Dalvin Cook revealed that he will speak with his agent as well as team general manager Joe Douglas about facilitating a trade. This comes as Cook grows increasingly frustrated in his role with the Jets. He will need to get a deal done by Tuesday at 4 p.m. in order to depart the Jets.

“It’s something I can’t control, that my name is being floated around in trade rumors,” Cook remarked with regard to his situation with the Jets. “It might be a good thing. Maybe [it’s] a bad thing.” Still, the running back insisted that he is looking to facilitate a trade that is “best for everybody.”

Having signed a one-year, $7 million contract in August, Cook has struggled to perform since arriving in New York from Minnesota, where he was cut loose. He managed just three carries for 12 yards in the Jets’ previous game: a 20-14 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
