The Los Angeles Dodgers, fresh off of winning the 2020 World Series, have decided to bring back an old friend on a Minor League contract with the hope that he’ll serve as an important piece of their bullpen in 2021.

The Dodgers agreed to a contract with Brandon Morrow, a veteran righty who has missed the past two seasons after elbow surgery but was considered one of the best relievers in the game before his injury.

Morrow had arguably his best season as a pro in 2017 with the Dodgers, serving as a right-handed stopper in their bullpen and posting an excellent 2.06 ERA in 45 appearances.

The California native, who is expected to be ready in time for 2021 Spring Training, could compete for a bullpen job on Opening Day if the team deems him to be ready to go.

Morrow, a strikeout artist who could help Los Angeles in their quest to repeat as World Champions, is a quality flyer that the Dodgers are already familiar with, and the team could help him get back to his elite form.

Expect Morrow to show up at Spring Training with plenty of desire to get back in the league, and pitch in his first Major League game since 2018.
