Despite having played in the MLB for six years concurrently, Monday’s game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Corey Seager and the Seattle Mariners and Kyle, his brother, was the first time that these siblings faced off on a big league diamond.

The Seager family will certainly never forget what happened when both brothers shared the field for the first time at Dodger Stadium.

Both Corey and Kyle hit home runs in the Dodgers’ 11-9 victory, marking the first time that two brothers had gone yard in the same game in the Major Leagues since June 7, 2001, when Felipe and Cesar Crespo accomplished the rare feat.

The Dodgers’ shortstop, the younger of the two brothers, was the first one to go deep on Monday night after he hit a three-run home run off of Mariners hurler Justin Dunn to put his team ahead 6-2.

It only took a half inning later for the older brother to slam a home run, as Kyle took Dodgers starter Ross Stripling deep to cut his team’s deficit to 6-4.

The two brothers will have more opportunities to accomplish the feat again as the Mariners and Dodgers meet three more times this week.
