Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic was sensational once again, hitting a buzzer-beating three-pointer to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers in overtime.

What makes Doncic’s brilliant performance on Sunday night even more special is the fact that he had sprained his ankle about 40 hours before the game during Game 3. Not only that, he also had to lead the team without his costar, big man Kristap Porzingis, who had knee soreness that kept him out of the game.

But after a full day of treatment on his sprained ankle, Doncic was able to not only play but shine. He ended the night with another historic performance, which has become commonplace for a player who is seemingly setting new records in every game he plays.

Doncic had 43 points, 17 rebounds, and 13 assists, leading Dallas to a 135-133 win.

At 21-years-old, this makes Doncic the youngest player in NBA history to score a 40-point triple-double in the playoffs. Doncic also led the Mavs on the team’s biggest playoff comeback in history after trailing by 21 points in the first half.

To add more legendary context to the night and the final shot, the only other 40-point playoff performance that was capped off with a win-or-lose buzzer-beating shot was Michael Jordan’s infamous shot over Craig Ehlo in 1989.

The series is now tied at 2-2.
