Draymond Green will go down in history as one of the best second-round picks ever made in the NBA drafts. But despite making his way from a second-rounder to a four-time champion, NBA Defensive Player of the Year, and four-time All-Star, Green still has some resentment about the way the 2012 NBA Draft played out.

Green recently made an appearance on Paul George’s Podcast P and was asked about his draft experience and what he thinks was the “most ridiculous” player drafted before him.

“The most ridiculous? Which one? … Listen, not to throw salt at anybody, but Andrew Nicholson was drafted over me at No. 19. Like you don’t even know how to pronounce his school [St. Bonaventure],” said Green.

Andrew Nicholson was selected No. 19 by the Orlando Magic. He ended up spending five years in the NBA, playing for five different franchises, before continuing his career overseas. Nicholson averaged 6.0 points in 285 NBA games.

“That was one that really, really, really, really pissed me off! There are several others that went before me, but that was the one,” Green added.

Of course, everything turned out great for Green. He landed in the best situation possible and ended up becoming a key part of the dynasty that dominated the NBA for the past decade.
