After a four-game losing streak that almost cost Coach Jason Garett his job, the Dallas Cowboys continued their comeback in the NFL with a comfortable 13-10 win over the New Orleans Saints, one of the league’s most offensive teams.

The Cowboys had three wins against five losses when news circulated Dallas was contemplating changing their manager. But after Thursday, the coach may have had his job permanently sealed. The Cowboys’ offensive size was led by Dak Prescott who finished 24 of 28 passing attempts for 248 yards. He also had a touchdown. Amari Cooper caught eight passes for 75 yards while Ezekiel Elliott ran 76 yards.

Saints’ Drew Brees threw for 127 yards, had one touchdown and an interception. While the quarterback attempted some moves to initiate a comeback in the game, he mostly ended up aiding the Cowboys. His interception led to a fumble and gave New Orleans the ball two minutes to go.

“I felt like we didn’t really find a rhythm for pretty much the whole game,” Brees said. “I guess we may have had one decent drive. Credit to them.”

Despite the loss, the quarterback said the Saints were fully prepared for the game but they just didn’t put in the tempo and rhythm required to win.

“…it was a big game. It was the most important game of the season because it was a big game. We just came out and didn’t play with the tempo and rhythm, I think, that we’re used to.”
