Despite rushing for 1,070 yards and six touchdowns in 2019, veteran running back Carlos Hyde still finds himself without a job deep into the offseason. That might change soon, however, as there are reportedly several NFL teams interested in his services, including Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks.

Hyde spent the last season with Houston Texans, serving as a starter for the better part of the year. Texans wanted to keep him after a solid year and even offered him a contract, but the 28-year-old opted to test the free agency.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Silver, Seahawks emerged as a front runner for Hyde’s signature as they are looking to boost depth on RB position. Silver reports that Seattle already engaged in talks with the player’s representatives and feel optimistic about the outcome.

However, Eagles might make a late swoop for Hyde as well. SiriusXM NFL Radio’s Adam Caplan recently reported that Philly is on the market for a veteran back that would replace Jordan Howard, who left for Miami Dolphins this offseason.

Carlos Hyde entered the NFL in 2014 when San Francisco 49ers took him with the fifth-round pick. He spent four years with the organization, combining for 2731 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns.

Hyde split the 2018 season with Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars, signing with Kansas City Chiefs in the offseason. However, he didn’t suit up for the Chiefs, as they traded him several months later to Texans in exchange for tackle Martinas Rankin.
