Many people were high on the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of the 2022 NFL season, but even they probably didn’t expect them to nominally be the best team throughout the first four weeks. With a 29-21 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, the Eagles have the best record in the league and remain the only undefeated team in NFL.

It didn’t start pretty for the Eagles, as the Jags, led by former Philly coach Doug Pederson, getting to a 0-14 lead in the first quarter. However, Philadelphia turned things around in the second quarter thanks to reckless play by Jacksonville’s second-year signal-caller Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence fumbled the ball twice in the second quarter, giving the Eagles a great field position. Philly used both chances to reach the endzone, while adding an extra TD on one of their possession to make it 20-14.

Both teams were uninspired in the second half, which opened up with three punts. Then, Lawrence entered in a series of mistakes once again, throwing an interception, which resulted in a field goal for the Eagles, and fumbling the ball, which led to Philly TD.

The Jags managed to make it close with a touchdown of their own midway through the fourth quarter but couldn’t complete the comeback in time due to another fumble by Lawrence.

The Eagles were led by the running back Myles Sanders, who had 134 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on the night. Quarterback Jalen Hurts had a rough night, throwing for 204 yards and an interception, although he did get one TD score with his legs.

With the win, the Philadelphia Eagles secured their best start of the season since 2004, when they started 7-0. On the other hand, the Jags fell to 2-2.
