The Philadelphia Eagles offensive line is having a very rough offseason.

The latest blow to the lineup came with Thursday’s injury suffered by starting left tackle Andre Dillard. He will have to have a season-ending surgery to fix a bicep injury that occurred in practice.

Dillard had already been battling through a shoulder strain this offseason. He’s an integral piece of the offensive line and was drafted in the first round of the 2019 draft to become the team’s left tackle of the future.

Dillard started four games in his rookie season but made appearances in every game. He was drafted to replace the Eagles perennial star left tackle Jason Peters, who turned 38 this year. The Eagles line already suffered a big blow in June when guard Brandon Brooks suffered a torn Achilles.

The Eagles then moved Peters to right guard to take Brooks’s spot. However, now with Dillard out for the season as well, the 38-year-old Peters will more than likely have to go back to his spot at left tackle. The problem now is that the Eagles aren’t entirely sure who is going to be taking Brooks’s spot at right guard, as the team is already very thin at the position.
