The Cameroonian center is back in the game and his influence on the court was immediately noticed. With 23 points young and talented center completely dominated the court of American Airlines Arena. His presence in the paint was decisive, on both ends, especially in the defense. Embiid prevented Miami’s guards from scoring easy buckets and there was no way that big guys from Florida are going to hurt 76ers.
But what is the main news after the game, were his statements.
“I’m going to be a nightmare for them,” she said, thinking on the Miami. Pretty cocky for a guy who is still not able to play without fearing to get injured.
But his other statement was in fact the most exciting one.
“Our goal is to go to the Finals so we actually have a pretty good chance,” he told TNT. “We have the talent.”
And really with the versatile center, the 76ers are a totally different team. Their game is much more diverse, and they have more options in attack than usual, And when it comes to defense, they are simply much stronger and tighter inside the paint.
Embiid has a point when he speaks about Philadelphia’s abilities.
