Three-time Pro Bowler Kyle Long has plans to return to football action after retiring not long ago. The guard played with the Chicago Bears for seven seasons, where he had an extremely successful stint.

Macon Gunter, co-host of a podcast called the Green Light Pod, confirmed this news recently. According to him, Long has already found representation and is ready to join any team who’ll have him.

He originally retired back in 2019, after dealing with a handful of injuries. These injuries caused him to miss a total of 20 games over two seasons, and staying in the league simply wasn’t appealing to Long anymore.

After retiring, Long then proceeded into the world of broadcasting, even serving as a studio analyst for CBS.

It’s unclear which team Long will play for, but it’s certainly not a lock that he’ll return to the Bears. However, if his form is anything like it was when he was at his best, we can’t think of any team that wouldn’t want him on their squad.

During his first three seasons in the league, Long was good enough to earn a spot on the Pro Bowl team. It’s unclear if he’s anywhere close to that level now, but only time will tell.
