Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic left the Qatari side Al-Duhail after only six months. According to the club’s announcement, the two sides parted ways via mutual contract termination.

Mandzukic joined Al-Duhail in January from Seria A giants Juventus, becoming one of the club’s biggest signings in history. However, the 34-year-old didn’t fit well with his new team and only managed to score twice in 10 games.

“I appreciate the trust and hospitality that I have received in Qatar, and I wish the best to the club and the team in the future,” said Mandzukic.

According to reports, Mario Mandzukic could now return to Italy, where new Seria A member Benevento and AC Milan are interested in his services. There is also talk that Mandzukic could end in Turkey as well, with Galatasaray and Fenerbahce mentioned as his potential destinations.

Mandzukic played with several top European clubs, including Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus. He saw his biggest success with Bayern, winning two domestic titles and one UEFA Champions League trophy, and Juve, where he won four consecutive Seria A titles.
