It looks like LA Galaxy already finished one big job this offseason. According to The LA Times‘ Kevin Baxter, Galaxy agreed to terms with former U.S. international midfielder Sacha Kljestan. The club is expected to officially confirm the move in coming days.

Kljestan was a free agent after spending the previous two years with Orlando City. He is expected to bring experience, leadership, and depth to Galaxy’s midfield. This move will also reunite him with his brother Gordon who is Galaxy’s director of soccer operations.

In the past season, the 34-year-old played 23 games during the regular season and provided one goal with three assists. During his two years in Orlando, Kljestan made a total of 53 appearances and scored seven goals.

Sacha Kljestan previously played with Chivas USA, Anderlecht, and New York Red Bulls. He won three Belgian Pro League trophies with Anderlecht and Supporters’ Shield with Red Bulls. Kljestan was twice selected in MLS Best XI and has one MLS All-Star appearance.

Kljestan was also a member of USMNT for 10 years, making 52 appearances for the senior team and scoring six times.
