Nose tackle Domata Peko is not ready to walk away from football just yet. Peko, who is a free agent after spending the last season with the Denver Broncos, believes that he can still be a reliable option at the age of 34.

“I think I have a couple more years in the tank,” – said Peko on Wednesday.

According to Peko, the team that showed the most interest in getting him was the Detroit Lions, with whom he had a workout recently.

“My agent’s trying to work some stuff out,” – he added. “We’re gonna see; just being patient with it and enjoying this time with my family.”

Still, if you ask Peko, the place where he would like to continue his NLF career is his hometown of Los Angeles.

“I would love to play here in L.A.,” – Peko shared. “I’m all about L.A., grew up in Whittier. So, dude, if the Rams come calling or the Chargers, I would love to do that.”

Domata Peko started his professional career with the Cincinnati Bengals, who took him in the fourth round of 2006 NFL Draft. Peko played 11 seasons with the Bengals, 10 of which he was a starter, before leaving Cincinnati to sign with the Broncos in 2017.

Peko’s career totals include 585 tackles, 20.0 sacks, 14 passes deflected, two forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries.
