The Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal advances closer towards his 12th French Open title with great confidence after defeating Yannick Maden, a qualifier from Germany.

32-year-old Nadal dominated the unfamiliar Court Suzanne Lenglen arena, which is Roland Garros’s second-biggest, completing a 6–1, 6–2, 6–4 victory in a two-hour-long match.

In the third set, Nadal lost his serve twice but quickly regained his ground. He has won a record 11 French Open titles so far and this year he is hoping to get his 12th. Nadal is also the holder of three US Open titles, two Wimbledon titles and one Australian Open title.

In the meanwhile, the Swiss tennis player Roger Federer joined Rafael Nadal in the third round after beating Oscar Otte. Federer’s game was a really classy performance that culminated with his triumph over the German player after 96 minutes.

Federer, who is playing in the tournament for the first time since 2015, overpowered his opponent with 6-4, 6-3, 6–4. After the match, he commented that the Grand Slams are an incredible experience which allows you to meet brilliant players of which you haven’t heard before.
