Villareal and Real Madrid closed the 3rd fixture in the Spanish La Liga with a 2-2 draw, putting more pressure on Zinedine Zidane’s team. Real Madrid was lagging behind Villareal twice and Bale scored both goals for the visitors.

The home team opened the score first through Gerard Moreno in the 12th minute. At first, the goal was disallowed due to an offside, but later it was given after the VAR replay showed that there was no offside on the play.

Gareth Bale leveled the score at the very end of the first half, after a perfect team action and an assist from Dani Carvajal. Fifteen minutes before the end of the match, Villareal took control over the game and scored again through Moi Gomez in the 74th minute. Real Madrid was forced to open up their game again and chase a goal while Villareal’s coach pushed his team back to defend the lead.

Bale scored his second goal of the season in the 86th minute, saving his team from the first defeat in the season, but the pressure on Zidane is rising as this is his team’s second draw in a row. After the goal, Bale was sent off because of his 2nd yellow card.
