With NBA players and staff living and working from within their Orlando bubble in the weeks leading up to the season restart, one could not blame them for undergoing feelings of isolation.

While NBA stars could not be blamed for going through feelings of isolation and frustration during such a challenging time, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo remains optimistic and grateful.

He refuses to cave into the current circumstances, citing his escape from poverty in Greece and the achievement of his NBA dream as enough reason to celebrate.

“I’m in a situation where I’m extremely blessed and I cannot complain” Giannis explained. “Obviously, it doesn’t matter where you are in life, there’s always something to complain, there’s always a problem and an issue.”

But I try to kind of not focus on that. So as I said, my apartment in Greece, when I was younger, with my four brothers, was way smaller than the suite that I have in the hotel, so I’m just trying to enjoy the moment,” he continued.

Antetokounmpo is expected to play in Milwaukee’s opening game against the Boston Celtics on August 1st.
