New York Giants are back on the market looking for cornerback help. According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, Giants’ failed to finalize previously agreed deal with veteran corner Ross Cockrell.

Cockrell visited Giants last week and even went through his physical. However, once it was time to put his signature to the paper, the 29-year-old player reportedly wasn’t satisfied with the financial terms of the contract.

Cockrell already suited up for Giants during the 2017 season and delivered a career year with 50 tackles, three interceptions, and 11 pass deflections.

Giants are in need of a cornerback help after third-year player Sam Beal opted out and 2019’s first-round pick DeAndre Baker got into off-the-field trouble. The organization believed that Cockrell could step in for the duo and even start, but are now forced to look into other options. At the moment, their only legitimate solution at the position is offseason acquisition James Bradberry.

Buffalo Bills’ fourth-round pick in 2014, Ross Cockrell, also played with Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers. His career numbers include 68 NFL games (43 starts), 219 tackles, seven interceptions, and 44 pass deflections.
