The New York Giants will be without several key players ahead of their clash with the New Orleans Saints at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday. This update makes the Giants’ search for a first win of the season all the more challenging.

The Giants will be without receivers Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton, both of whom are unavailable due to hamstring injuries, along with starting left guard Ben Bredeson, whose hand injury has kept him out of a fourth consecutive game.

Prior to his injury, Shepard has been the Giants’ top receiver so far this season, with 18 catches in 223 yards as well as a touchdown. Slayton has made seven catches for 127 yards as well as a touchdown. Both players made a first-half exit during the Giants’ narrow 17-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons last weekend.

The Giants will now have to rely on the talent of Kenny Golladay and first-round pick Kadarius Toney in their next game against one of the league’s top defensive lineups. Golladay joined the Giants during the offseason on a four-year, $72 million contract, while Toney was the Giants’ first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
