NY Giants decided to award their kicker Graham Gano for his performances in 2020 with a new contract. The team announced on Sunday that Gano inked a three-year extension that should keep him with the organization through 2023.

Gano, who signed with Giants in August, has been on a roll in 2020. He missed only one field goal out of 22 tries while converting on four 50+ yards FGs. The 33-year-old player is also 100 percent on extra points this season.

While Giants didn’t reveal the financial terms of the deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Gano is set to earn $14 million in new money. The agreement also comes with $9.5 million guaranteed and makes him the third highest-paid kicker in the league.

Before arriving in New York, Graham Gano suited up for Washington and Carolina Panthers. He left the biggest mark in Carolina, where he was a starter for eight seasons and had 85.5 percent conversion on the free kick while being 95 percent on PATs.

Gano, who has a Pro Bowl nod from 2017, was released by Panthers this past summer after spending the entire 2019 sidelined with a left leg injury. Giants added him to their training camp roster shortly after and are now reaping the benefits.
