The New York Giants are suffering from a severely depleted offense going into their match against the Carolina Panthers at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday, with running back Saquon Barkley, as well as wide receivers Kadarius Toney and Kenny Golladay, all ruled out of action.

This will be the second consecutive game that Barkley and Golladay miss due to their respective ankle and knee injuries, while Toney was forced off the field during the Giants’ 38-11 blowout loss to the Rams last Sunday due to aggravating a pre-existing ankle injury.

All three injured players have proven to be key to the Giants’ success, as Barkley leads the team’s scoring charts with three touchdowns in just four appearances while Toney is the team’s leading receiver after catching 23 catches for 317 yards. Having drafted for the Giants as their first-round pick in this year’s draft, Toney has proven to be one of the rookies to watch this season.

Coach Joe Judge attempted to put the minds of supporters at ease on Friday, explaining that: “We have to put every little thing on the injury report. So a lot of things get thrown on there. Just a normal nick and bump coming out of games, things that are aggravated at practice from the games.”
