Grizzlies and Heat Clinch the Last Two Spots in the 2025 NBA Playoffs

The 2025 NBA Playoff bracket is now set after the Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat clinched the last two playoff spots available in the Play-in Tournament and will enter the postseason as the No. 8 seed in their respective conferences.

The Grizzlies beat the Dallas Mavericks 106-120 on the back of a strong first quarter in which they outscored their opponents by 15 points. Ja Morant led the way for Memphis with 22 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds while Jaren Jackson Jr. added 24 points and seven rebounds.

The Grizzlies will now face the first-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of Western Conference Playoffs. 

The Heat got in with a 123-114 overtime win over the Atlanta Hawks. They made some history in the process, becoming the first No. 10 seed in NBA history to make the playoffs.

Miami, who will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round, was led by Tyler Herro with 30 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Veteran point guard Davion Mitchell also made a big contribution by scoring nine points in the overtime.

The 2025 NBA Playoffs will also see the Houston Rockets (No. 2) face the Golden State Warriors (No. 7), the Los Angeles Lakers (No. 3) going up against the Minnesota Timberwolves (No. 6), and the Denver Nuggets (No. 4) taking on the Los Angeles Clippers (No. 5) in the Western Conference.

The rest of Eastern Conference matchups include the Boston Celtics (No. 2) versus Orlando Magic (No. 7), the New York Knicks (No. 3) versus Detroit Pistons (No. 6), and the Indiana Pacers (No. 4) versus the Milwaukee Bucks (No. 5).
